Administrative Assistant & Playground Leader (maternity cover) at Rumboldswhyke Primary School

The post is required from 12th May 2025 to cover maternity leave. We are looking for a motivated, highly organised and impactful individual who shares our vision to provide a nurturing, creative Christian community. You will be joining the school at an exciting time of change as we grow to become an all-through primary. We are excited about our next chapter and we are keen to appoint someone with the drive and enthusiasm to truly embed our vision.

You will act as first point of contact at the school, dealing with front line enquiries, providing a professional and efficient reception service. The successful candidate will need excellent personnel and organizational skills and understand the responsibility of confidentiality. Applicants must have the ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure to meet conflicting demands and deadlines. You will be involved in all aspects of school life and
play a valuable and supportive part assisting the other administrative staff to ensure the smooth running of the day to day functioning of the school. We are also looking for someone with good English and IT skills.

You would also be responsible for setting up, clearing away and supervising children at lunchtimes.

Staff at Rumboldswhyke School will be part of the wider Bishop Luffa Learning Partnership team. Together we are enthusiastically driving the school forward and building upon its achievements. It is essential that you have a friendly disposition, enjoy working within a team and be dedicated to the needs of the school and most importantly, the children. Previous experience of working in a school environment is desirable and you should ideally hold a first aid at work qualification. However, training will be provided for the right candidate.

We are seeking to appoint a Meals Supervisor who will be responsible for supervising and assisting pupils during their midday breaks (Monday to Friday), both in the lunch hall and outside. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring their safety, welfare and general conduct through appropriate application of the school's policies and procedures.

Bishop Luffa School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and resourceful person as a Finance Officer.  The successful candidate will work within the Finance Department based at Bishop Luffa School.  This exciting and rewarding role requires someone who:

  • has high standards and takes pride in the quality of their work
  • is able to work effectively in a team
  • is patient, flexible, adaptable and able to show initiative

The post requires excellent communication skills, a good general educational background and the ability to work independently and within a team.  Confident IT skills are essential.
